Phillip Clark : Vice President

Phillip Clark

Vice President

He is from South Philadelphia and grew up in West Virginia. He served in the Marines Landing Support Unit for four years. He is currently employed as the Steps House Vice President and Administrator for the Residential Recovery Program and the Veterans Homeless Program. He has been with Steps House for six years. A father of four children, he is an avid trout fisherman and enjoys playing golf.

Larry Cook : Office Manager / Counselor Tech

He is from Gainesboro, Jackson County, Tennessee and graduated from Tennessee Tech University with a BS degree in Geology. He worked in the oil and gas industry on offshore oil rigs for 14 years in the Gulf of Mexico. Later he worked for the State of Tennessee, Department of Environment. He has been with the Steps House since 2011 as the Office Manager and a Counselor Tech. He is currently working on his LADAC Certification.

Dawn Davis : Counselor Tech

She comes from Clinton, Tennessee. She attended Roane State Community College majoring in Business. She is the proud mother of four boys. She is currently a Counselor Tech at the Steps House for Women.

Larry Derrick : Counselor Tech

Born and raised in Nashville, he attended college at Austin Peay State University. He graduated with an Associates degree in Physical Fitness and Business Administration. He was a walk on for Washington Redskins NFL team. Mr. Derrick served in the U.S. Army for 4 years. He is the father of two sons. He has been employed by Steps House for one year as a Counselor Tech where he is currently working on his LADAC certification.

Paul Farrier : Admissions & Intake Coordinator

He is from Louisville, Kentucky. He has BA degree in International Studies from Bradley University in Peoria, Illinois. He attended the Louisville Graduate School of Education. He has a degree in Electronic Engineering from ITT in Louisville, Kentucky. He served in the Peace Corp in Guatemala for several years. He currently serves as the Admissions and Intake Coordinator at Steps House. He has been with Steps House for seven years.

Grant Henderson : Counselor

He is married with four children. He is an old timer in the AA program with 31 years. He graduated from Kaplan University with a degree in Psychology / Substance Abuse Counseling. He currently works as a Counselor in the Steps House Homeless Veterans Program.

She was born and raised in Sanara, California. She recently moved back to Tennessee to be with her family. She is currently working as a Counselor in the Steps House Women’s Recovery Program. She is an old timer in 12 step recovery groups with 30 years of sobriety. She likes to garden, read, and help women just coming off the streets.

Zack Newton : Assistant Director of Residential Recovery

He is from Memphis, Tennessee. He attended UT Chattanooga and Pellissippi State College. He is the Assistant Director of the Residential Recovery Program, a position he has held for the last two years. He is currently working toward a LADAC certification.

Tony Parrish : Counselor Trainee

He is from Tucson Arizona. He now resides in Louisville, Tennessee with his new wife. He is currently a Counselor Trainee for the Veterans Homeless Program and the Residential Recovery Program. He enjoys working out, reading, and camping.

John Phillips : Counselor Tech

He is from Dallas, Texas. He is currently attending Pellissippi State College majoring in Business Administration. He has been with Steps House for a year as a Counselor Tech in the Veterans Homeless Program.

Steve Simpson : Procurement Director

A native of Knoxville, he served eight years in the U.S. Air Force. He makes his home with his wife in Knoxville. He enjoys fishing and shooting guns. He is currently the Procurement Director for Steps House.

Pattie Luttrell : Veteran's Program-Office Manager

A native of Atlanta, he attended college at Chattahoochee Tech majoring in Electronics. He is recently married and enjoys fishing, sports, and music. He has been with Steps House for six years and is currently the head of the Maintenance Department for Steps House.

Sandy White : Executive Assistant

Sandy White

Executive Assistant

Born in Oliver Springs, Tennessee and raised in Oak Ridge, Tennessee, she is a part-time Spiritual Advisor at Cornerstone of Recovery and the Executive Assistant to the CEO of Steps House. She is the District Committee Member Chair for district 6 in area 64 for local 12 steps groups. She has started many women’s 12 steps groups and Cocaine Anonymous meetings in the Knoxville area. She enjoys reading, cooking, Church, and working with women in early recovery.
