Veterans Homeless Program

Our Goal: Put Every Veteran In A Home

We offer a specialized program for veterans that takes into account their specific needs. Our Grant and Per diem program is for homeless veterans who are seeking to arrest their addictions and who can commit to work toward becoming sober, independent members of society once again.

With the joint effort of the Veterans Administration and the Steps House, men have been rebuilding their lives at the Steps House for the last 18 years. Time limit for this program is two years. Clients are eligible for three admissions in a lifetime. We can place 40 veterans in this program at any time.

Once a client is stable, he can apply for HUD VASH Housing Vouchers through the Department of Veterans Affairs for affordable independent housing.

We treat all veterans with respect, and we are committed to the national goal of eliminating veteran homelessness.

If you are a veteran in need of help, or if you know a vet who is struggling, call Phil Clark at 865.609.2829 or 865.382.6623. You can also email us here.
